According to Mundo Deportivo, one player Barcelona is keeping an eye on is Daichi Kamada. The Catalans have contacted Eintracht Frankfurt, enquiring about the Japanese international, who is regarded as one of the best playmakers in the Bundesliga.

Although Barça is not expected to make a move anytime soon, they are keeping tabs on the player’s situation at Eintracht. A part of the Eintracht side since 2017, Kamada has racked up 156 competitive appearances during his time in Germany. He has scored 36 times while mustering 30 assists, helping the Eagles establish themselves as one of the best teams in Germany.

However, Kamada’s future does not appear to be in Frankfurt, as the playmaker is yet to renew his contract, which expires at the end of the season. Eintracht have taken his departure for granted, meaning the player could leave for free in the coming summer.

Barcelona has taken note of this situation and may make a move for the Japanese international at the end of the season. His status as a free agent could bode well for the Catalans’ financial policy. However, Barça is expected to face stiff competition in the race to sign Kamada.
